Zeon
Zoysia
Zeon is a medium to fine textured zoysiagrass
primarily used for areas such as home lawns, sports fields and
golf courses. It is also being used on high-end commercial
sites.
Characteristics: Zeon is compatible with a
wide range of soil conditions. It can handle full sun or
light to medium shade. It has good drought tolerance and very
few insects or disease problems.
Zeon would be the replacement grass for the old standard,
Emerald zoysia.
Installation and Maintenance: Zeon cannot be
grown from seed. Therefore, it must be planted as plugs,
sprigs or sod. Sprig planting is recommended only for
experienced landscapers. Plugs are our preferred planting
method for those of you who can not solid sod your site.
Solid sodding is, by far, the best way to go.
Water the grass as you plant it. Do not wait until the entire
site is planted to water.
The site should be watered heavily for at least two weeks to
promote establishment. After the establishment period is
over, keep a regular schedule of watering and mowing, and we
think that you will be extremely pleased with the quality of
your turf. Recommended mowing height, with a rotary mower, is
1-2 inches.
Recommended annual fertilization rate is one to two pounds
nitrogen per 1,000 square feet. Use split applications with
one pound nitrogen in the spring to encourage new growth and
one pound of nitrogen in mid-to-late summer to promote healthy
growth into the fall and winter.

JaMur
Zoysiagrass
JaMur is a medium to coarse textured
zoysiagrass primarily developed for use in high traffic, high
visibility applications. JaMur is similar in appearance to a
dwarf variety of St. Augustine, and has many of the same
uses. It is ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial
sites.
Characteristics: JaMur is compatible with a
wide range of soil conditions, and is comparable to St.
Augustine in shade tolerance. In the past, Zoysias were
considered to be very slow to spread and establish. JaMur is
not your typical Zoysia. Expect full coverage from plugs
planted on one foot centers in about sixteen weeks instead of
the two years it takes some of the older varieties.
Due to the fact JAMur spreads faster and we are able to
harvest more frequently, the price is considerably less than
Zoysias of the past.
Installation and Maintenance: JaMur can not
be grown from seed. Therefore, actual plant material must be
used. Solid sodding is, bar far, the best way to go.

El Toro
Zoysia
El Toro Zoysia is a dense, medium
fine-textured, medium green colored, highly durable turf. It
spreads by runners and is one of the faster growing zoysias.
It adapts well to high heat and tolerates moderate shade.

Raleigh
St. Augustine
Raleigh St. Augustine is a vigorous,
dark-green, medium-coarse textured lawn grass. Raleigh was
selected for the control of St. Augustine Decline disease
coupled with a significant cold tolerance above that of the
SAD-resistant Floratam. Raleigh is the most dominate St.
Augustine lawn grass in Texas because of its cold tolerance,
but is still prone to chinch bugs and brown patch attacks.

TifWay 419
Bermuda
TifWay 419 Bermuda is deep green in color and
medium fine in texture. 419 has excellent weed and disease
resistance and is a superior turf for fair-ways, tees,
athletic fields and home lawns. When cut at 1 1/2 to 2 inches,
419 provides an excellent impact-absorbing cushion on playing
fields. TifWay419 has very dense top growth that allows it to
tolerate more wear and helps it reduce weed invasion. It is
more resilient in the winter months when the grass is dormant.
419 greens up sooner in the spring and retains its color
longer in the fall.
